0. Identification of the operator
The Lares Pecoris platform is operated by GROMA SRL (hereinafter the „Operator"), a Romanian legal entity, with its registered office at Str. Mircea Dimitrie Rațiu nr. 5, Camera 1, Ap. 2, Timișoara, jud. Timiș, România, registered with the Trade Register under number J2026035922005, unique registration code 54804217, not registered for VAT.
Legal, fiscal, and contractual responsibility for the Lares Pecoris platform belongs entirely to GROMA SRL, as operator of the platform.

1. About the service
Lares Pecoris is an online platform for veterinary reference, didactic studies and knowledge consensus intended for veterinarians, residents, veterinary medicine students and auxiliary veterinary personnel. The platform synthesises guidelines published by professional societies, consensus recommendations and public pharmacological information, covering all veterinary species and specialties.
Lares Pecoris is NOT a clinical decision support system (CDSS), is NOT a medical device within the meaning of EU Regulation 2017/745 (MDR), and does NOT substitute for the professional judgement of the attending veterinarian. The content presents what published guidelines say; it does not issue individualised clinical recommendations for the animals in the user's care.
2. Account and security
Access to the service requires the creation of an account with a valid email address and a password. By registering, you declare that:
- you are a veterinarian, resident, veterinary medicine student or auxiliary veterinary personnel, and you use the service in a professional or educational context;
- the information provided at registration is correct and belongs to you;
- you are responsible for the security of access to your account and for all actions carried out from the account.
If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, notify us immediately at office@larespecoris.vet and change your password using the „Forgot your password?" option on the login screen.
3. Plans, pricing and payment
Lares Pecoris offers the following plans (prices in RON; GROMA SRLis not registered for VAT — invoices do not include VAT):
- Free - 0 RON: 5 free chat questions (per account), 2 didactic studies, access to reading the guidelines and the forum. Perpetual, no card required.
- Standard - 84 RON/month (or 72 RON/month billed annually, i.e. 864 RON/year — ~14% discount compared to monthly): unlimited access to chat, calculator, interaction checker.
- Enterprise - 248 RON/month: multi-seat for clinics and veterinary teams + administrative panel + audit log.
The free plan serves as a permanent evaluation period — no additional trial period applies to the paid plans. The paid subscription begins immediately upon successful completion of payment via Stripe.
Payments are processed exclusively through Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland). The Operator does not collect or store card data on the Lares servers. Payments are secured through Stripe's PCI-DSS protocols.
The subscription renews automatically at each billing cycle until cancellation. We will notify you by email at least 5 days before renewal if the price changes compared to the previous cycle.
Price changes are announced with a minimum notice of 30 days by email and by display at the first login following the announcement. Changes do not apply retroactively to the current billing period.
3a. The referral program
The Operator offers a referral program through which users can receive subscription credit for bringing new subscribers to the platform. The rules of the program:
- Credit granted: 40 RON per qualified referral, exclusively to the person making the referral (the referrer). The referred person does not receive credit through this program.
- Qualification condition: a referral is qualified when the referred person successfully pays the first subscription invoice, subject to the platform's anti-abuse checks.
- Credit application: the credit is applied automatically as a discount on the referrer's monthly subscription invoice. Maximum 40 RON discount per monthly invoice, regardless of the number of pending referrals.
- Progressive accumulation: multiple qualified referrals generate credits usable over consecutive months (e.g.: 5 referrals = 5 months × 40 RON discount), not a lump sum.
- Limit: the credit cannot exceed the cost of the current subscription; the excess does not carry over indefinitely and is not paid in cash.
- Exclusions: the credit is not transferable, cannot be withdrawn as cash or equivalent and does not apply to the Free plan.
- Right to modify: the Operator may modify or terminate the referral program with 30 days' prior notice by email. Credits already accumulated as of the date of modification are maintained in accordance with the rules in force at the time of qualification.
The referral program is governed by Romanian legislation on digital services and distance contracts (OUG 34/2014). Any attempt to defraud the program (self-referral, multiple accounts, false data) leads to the cancellation of the credits and may result in account suspension.
4. Invoicing and ANAF e-Factura
For each successful payment, the Operator issues a fiscal invoice in accordance with Romanian legislation (Tax Code Art. 319). The invoices are:
- generated automatically upon completion of each Stripe payment;
- sent by email to the account address in PDF format;
- uploaded to the National RO e-Factura System (ANAF SPV) in accordance with OUG 120/2021 and Law 296/2023, mandatory for B2B transactions (since July 2024) and B2C (since January 2025);
- available for download from the Account → Invoicing page.
For B2B invoicing (veterinarian / clinic as a legal entity), please enter the CUI / CIF, the full legal name and the billing address at the first payment on the Stripe Checkout screen. Subsequent changes are requested at office@larespecoris.vet.
5. The 14-day right of withdrawal
As a consumer who is a natural person, you have the right to withdraw from the contract for the supply of the Lares Pecoris digital services within 14 calendar days from the date of conclusion of the contract (the date of the first payment accepted by Stripe), without giving a reason, in accordance with OUG 34/2014 (Romanian transposition of EU Directive 2011/83/EU).
To exercise the right of withdrawal, please send a clear notification (email or the form on the Withdrawal page) of your intention to withdraw, within the 14 days, to office@larespecoris.vet. The refund of the amounts paid is carried out within a maximum of 14 days from receipt of the notification, using the same means of payment that you used (the card used at Stripe).
5.1. Express waiver of the right of withdrawal (OUG 34/2014 art. 16 lit. a) and m))
Since Lares Pecoris is an immediately-accessible digital service, before the completion of any payment for a paid plan, it is mandatory to tick the consent box by which you expressly confirm the following:
- I request that the supply of the digital services begin immediately after the completion of payment, without waiting for the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period.
- I acknowledge that, by beginning immediate performance, I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with art. 16 lit. a) and m) of OUG 34/2014.
This express waiver is a precondition for accessing any paid plan. Without the consent tick, the purchase cannot be completed. The timestamp of the tick is kept in the Operator's audit log, as proof of your express agreement.
Exceptions: if, for technical reasons, you managed to complete a payment without ticking this box, you retain the 14-day right of withdrawal. Contact us at office@larespecoris.vet or use the form at /retragere.
For consumers that are legal entities (B2B), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply, in accordance with OUG 34/2014 art. 2 para. (1) pt. 2.
6. Cancellation of the subscription
You can cancel the subscription at any time from Account → Subscription → Cancel subscription or by email at office@larespecoris.vet.
Effect of cancellation: cancellation stops the automatic renewal, but access remains active until the end of the billing period already paid for. No pro-rata refunds are issued for the unused days of the current period, with the EXCEPTION of the situation in which you exercise the 14-day right of withdrawal (see section 5 above), in which case you receive a full refund.
After the expiry of the paid period, the account enters an inactive state. Your data is kept for 30 days for the purpose of reactivation, after which it is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
It is permitted:
- Consulting the synthesised guidelines and the consensus recommendations.
- Accessing the didactic studies (anonymised scenarios).
- Semantic search within the knowledge base.
- Using the dosage calculator and the interaction checker.
- Submitting feedback, error reports and suggestions.
- Use for personal or continuing professional educational purposes.
It is prohibited:
- Entering identifiable data about real animals, owners or clinical records.
- Using Lares Pecoris as the sole basis for a clinical decision about a real animal.
- Automated scraping, mass aggregation of the content or redistribution without written permission.
- Attempts to compromise the platform's security, to bypass rate-limiting, to access other users' data or to extract API keys.
- Use for generating content intended to deceive or harm third parties.
- Assigning or sublicensing account access to third parties.
8. Content and intellectual property
The integrated guidelines and texts originate from sources published by professional veterinary societies (WSAVA, ESCCAP, AAHA, AAEP, FVE, CMVRO, ANSVSA and others) — used under their public licences or with their agreement. Copyright belongs to the original publishers.
The code, architecture, structure of the knowledge base and the interface of the Lares Pecoris platform are the property of the Operator and are protected by copyright legislation.
Feedback submitted by users may be used for improving the service without any obligation of remuneration.
9. Limitation of liability
Lares Pecoris is provided „as is". The Operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information and is not liable for:
- clinical decisions taken on the basis of the content — clinical responsibility remains entirely with the veterinarian;
- errors, omissions or outdated data in the synthesis of the guidelines;
- temporary interruptions of the service due to technical, maintenance or force majeure causes;
- indirect, consequential or loss-of-profit damages.
The Operator's total liability towards a user shall not exceed the amount paid by that user in the last 12 calendar months prior to the event. This limitation does not apply in the case of damages caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence, in accordance with Romanian legislation. No provision of this section limits liability that cannot be limited under the mandatory rules of Romanian law, including consumer protection legislation.
10. Alternative dispute resolution
In the event that you are not satisfied with a decision of the Operator and the dispute cannot be resolved amicably by email at office@larespecoris.vet, you have the following options before initiating judicial actions:
- ANPC (the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection) — anpc.ro / online petition form.
- The SAL entities — alternative dispute resolution in accordance with OUG 38/2015. The list of authorised entities: anpc.ro/articol/1791/sal.
- The European Commission's ODR platform (EU Reg. 524/2013) — ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
The Operator undertakes to respond to requests submitted through these platforms within 30 days.
11. Modifications to the terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms. Material modifications (those that affect users' rights, the pricing or the essential conditions of the service) will be announced by email and at the first subsequent login, at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel the subscription before the effective date, without penalties.
12. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the legislation of Romania. For consumers resident in Romania, the mandatory rights under consumer protection legislation (OUG 34/2014, Law 363/2007, the Consumer Code) prevail over the present clauses.
Any dispute shall be resolved through amicable negotiation; failing that, through SAL/ANPC (see section 10) or, as a last resort, through the competent courts of Bucharest, Romania, subject to the consumer's right to bring an action before the court of their own domicile, in accordance with the law.
