Lares presents what guidelines say — not what to do

Lares Pecoris synthesises published veterinary society guidelines, consensus recommendations, and public pharmacological references. Its function is to present what the specialist literature states — not to issue individualised clinical recommendations for real animals.

Lares Pecoris is not a clinical decision support system (CDSS) and is not a medical device under EU Regulation 2017/745 (MDR) or any other sector-specific regulation. Content is exclusively educational and reference in character.

The veterinarian retains full clinical responsibility

Clinical decisions rest solely with the treating veterinary physician. Interpreting guidelines in the specific context of each animal patient, validating doses, assessing contraindications, applying treatment, and communicating with the animal's owner are exclusive responsibilities of the veterinarian and cannot be delegated to a software tool.

Use of the platform does not modify, reduce, or transfer the veterinarian's professional or legal responsibility towards the patient, the owner, or regulatory authorities.

Not for emergencies

In life-threatening emergencies, follow your local emergency protocols and mobilise available resources immediately. Lares Pecoris is not designed for real-time use under emergency conditions and does not substitute your clinic's emergency clinical protocols.

Synthesis may be incomplete

Platform content may be incomplete, may reflect earlier versions of guidelines, or may contain errors, including in numerical values (doses, reference ranges). Veterinary guidelines evolve; always verify in the original source before clinical application. Language models used for synthesis can produce inaccuracies. No platform output should be treated as a substitute for primary sources or specialist consultation.

How to report a content error

If you identify incorrect, outdated, or missing information, please report it to office@larespecoris.vet. Include the relevant guideline or reference source where available. The veterinary community's contributions to content accuracy are essential to the quality of the platform.
