Who is Lares?
A silent guardian of veterinary knowledge.
The ancient Romans named Lares the household guardian — the silent watcher who kept their loved ones safe without ever showing himself. At Lares Pecoris, we took this name for a single reason: every Romanian veterinarian should have that same quiet presence behind them — the consolidated, cited, ready-to-answer knowledge of the field.
We watch
The guidelines change. Lares reads them so you do not have to.
The international guidelines that define the standard of care — WSAVA, ESCCAP, AAHA, AAEP — change their recommendations year by year. National and European legislation updates continuously. No one reads it all. Lares does this in the background: it reads the guidelines, remembers them, cites them when you ask. It does not speak in its own voice. Every answer comes with its source attached — which guideline, which article, which edition.
We protect
Lares is reference. The clinical decision stays with you.
Lares is not a clinical decision-support tool, and it does not pretend to be. Its answers represent the consensus of the guidelines — what the standards say, not what to do in a specific case. The clinical decision remains with the veterinarian. Where the corpus raises a flag — species-specific dosing, contraindications, drug interactions — Lares surfaces those in red, visible, unambiguous. Red appears nowhere as decoration. Only where attention is required.
We help
Everyday tools, all species, source always within reach.
The didactic studies — the anonymized real cases you build with Lares — become resources for every veterinarian in the community. Case-based learning, anchored in guidelines, never in invention. The dosage calculator, the drug-interaction checker, the appointment register: everyday tools that save the veterinarian time. All species-adapted. All with the source within reach. If a question has no support in the corpus, Lares says it does not know. It will not invent a dose. It will not fabulate an interaction.
Per scientiam, vigilamus.
Through knowledge, we keep watch.
We watch. We protect. We help.
