Today we launch the first Romanian-language veterinary reference that cites its sources — and admits when it does not know.
The Romans called Lares the protective spirits of the home — silent guardians who watched over their own without ever showing themselves. Today, on Pentecost — a day that honours protection and grace over home and community — a different kind of guardian begins its watch. Not over the hearth, but over veterinary knowledge.
The launch
Today, Lares Pecoris begins its watch.
Lares Pecoris is the first Romanian-language veterinary reference that answers with the source cited, and honestly says when it does not know. All species. The international guidelines that set the standard of care — WSAVA, ESCCAP, AAHA, AAEP — and the law that governs practice in Romania and the European Union. All of it within reach, in your language. It is not an oracle that pronounces what to do. It is a reference colleague that shows you what the discipline already agrees on, and leaves the clinical decision to you.

We invite you to begin. Ask in the chat — about doses, protocols, contraindications, the consensus of the field. Turn real, anonymised cases into teaching studies, so that every case returns value to everyone who reads it. Join the community and raise, together, the standard of professional conversation. Lares is for veterinarians and professionals who want a fast, honest, citable source — and who would rather build it than wait for it.
The commitment

Lares is built with you, and we mean that as a promise, not a slogan. Tell us what to improve — any gap, any weak answer, any unclear passage — and we commit to resolving any reported issue within two days, and to resolving it for good, so it stays resolved. Tell us which sources to add to the corpus: which guidelines, which monographs, which subjects you want to find here. We build the library around the needs of real practice, not around assumptions.
