The Lares corpus is built from guidelines published by professional veterinary organisations (WSAVA, ESCCAP, AAHA, AAEP), SPCs authorised by EMA and VMD, and academically recognised reference handbooks. Every fragment carries a citable source with a publication date. Lares does not generate clinical opinions — it surfaces what the sources say. When a source is missing or outdated, the system explicitly says “I don't know” rather than interpolating. This does not replace consulting a specialist for a specific case.

Your account and session data are stored within the European Union, on Supabase infrastructure (eu-central-1, Frankfurt). Didactic studies are structurally anonymised — no personally identifiable information about the owner or the animal. We do not sell, transfer, or use personal data for marketing. No. Lares is a reference and learning tool, not a clinical decision support system and not a medical device. Answers present what guidelines and authorised monographs say — they do not replace clinical examination, anamnesis, or the veterinarian's judgement. The clinical decision belongs exclusively to the licensed veterinarian who knows the case.

International veterinary medicine guidelines are published almost exclusively in English. The standard of care should not have a language barrier. Lares builds the corpus from international sources (WSAVA, EMA, VMD, ESCCAP) and presents it in Romanian, with correct veterinary clinical terminology and local context.

It says so explicitly. If no citable source in the corpus supports your query, the system does not estimate or invent — it refuses and recommends consulting the primary source or a specialist. Honesty about limits is part of the product.
